Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. Her most well-known work is as the ex-wife of comedian Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life a secret and away from the media. Steve has never had the same level of success as his current status, however, they were married 14 years ago. The real reasons behind the couple splitting up were not known and rumors were always heard throughout Hollywood. Some believe it was Steve Harvey's cheating ways and others believe it was due to his choice to pursue comedy as a profession. Her tragic life is attributed to Steve's neglect of her as well as her two daughters when she was pregnant with her third baby. Despite her struggles she has carved out an impressive career out of fashion design as well as writing. She is the author of "Marcia's eyes To The Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and Marcia's Thoughts From the Mind. The generosity of her character has inspired her children. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They were not wealthy. Her first job was in an outlet store known as "Saks Fifth Avenue". Steve met her at a friends' wedding reception. The two got married and they were married in 1980. Steve was an insurance professional in the year 1980. The couple were blessed with twin girls in 1982. Steve began to feel disillusioned at his job and determined to pursue a career in the field of entertainment. He wanted to be a stand-up comedian. This led to a lot of tension between him and Marcia and later, reports indicated that they were starting to separate by the year 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame came primarily due to her marriage Steve Harvey, and their divorce. While the circumstances that led to the divorce of Steve and Marcia in 1994 have been kept secret There is no doubt that Marcia was pregnant with their third child. This was the point at which everything went downhill. Marcia was finally able to file for divorce on March 23, 1993. Marcia was forced to file for divorce by Steve Harvey's refusal to pay the child support or alimony following her divorce.
