Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix was an Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister at Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meters race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 secs. The year 2005 was the time she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently at the top of the podium throughout her events during the Olympics that took place during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
